H2's and water leaks
So I bought my 06 H2 a little over 3 months ago for my wife. We had to fix a few things that I have posted on here and have been pretty happy with it until the dreaded water in the floor boards appeared. Its been in the shop going on three weeks now to remove all the interior and to fix the multiple leaks and chemically treat the carpet and remove any mold that they found, total cost so far $1800, so that being said I wanted to do a little investigation of my own. I went to several dealers in my area and wanted to look at the H2's on the lots and what did I discover 4 of the six I looked at had damp or soaked floor boards, man what a shocker, lol......
Shocking, but oh so true. My 03 leaked from roof snow melt after I bought it and man was I opened jawed. I cleaned the two front corner marker lights and sealed them up with some soft sealer.
That took care of that but I have to do the treatment to the 3 center markers just for kicks cause it drips a little below those things. We just had a huge thunderstorm with high winds and that helps leaks to start even though ya think its fixed.
Another disturbing H2 issue is people bashing their car doors in my doors. I'm getting rid a this magical temperamental beast

The seals for the center marker lights are cheap,
I picked some up on ebay that are a little thicker than the OEM seals, took maybe 30 minutes to install. Changing the center marker light seals and sealing the 4 corner light grommets fixed the leaks, all took about 2 hours total and about $20 to get it done.

That how much I've seen them for since I got my H2 back in March.
Also - skip the others ones for the corner lights. Those seals really do not seal against anything. Water can still flow under the corner lights. The fix for the corner lights is to seal the grommets underneath them where the wiring goes through into the roof. Those big rubber grommets harden and shrink. Have to pull the corner light, clean everything up very good. Also on the corner ones the big rubber plug grommet has a recess in the middle, also clean that out and fill it with silicone.

MixManSC, not sure I understand what your saying "Those seals really do not seal against anything".
those seals are not for the corners they are for the center lights and they do seal the lights to the cab of the truck.
