Will the 4' supplied hose be long enough?

 

i did ask myself that exact same question when i got mine and the answer is yes.

Be very careful while measuring and cutting the hose . I cut the first time 1 inch longer and didnt have enough for the 2 .
Btw make sure you tight the clams or use double .
Those clams seems to get loose over the time

Installed the Tru Cool today. I used the compression fittings shown. I took pics of the part numbers I got from Home Depot if anyone's interested. F-ed up my hands a little but temps went from 200+ to the gauge barely moving.

I just became the new owner of a 2008 (6l80) H2 and I will be putting in the tru-cooler tomorrow. What tranny fluid should I top-off with?

 

Dexron 6. Brand doesn't matter as dexron 6 is dexron 6 no matter what.

 

Thanks. So I'll need a bottle or two of that and the fittings from home depot. From what I can find it looks like you have to swing the power steering cooler over and put the tru-cool right up against it otherwise the hood won't close.

I also read you can remove the tranny hoses from the radiator by removing a retaining clip. I just can't find any pictures.

 

When I did the install on my 04 I did have to swing the PS cooler over. But when I did it on my 08 I did not. Not sure why. And yes the lines going into the radiator are somewhat shaped like e-clips. You can use a flathead screwdriver to pry them off. There's little room to see or move in that space so if you have the right tools it's probably easier just to cut them.
