Default Electrical or Mechanical issues?

I have the H2 bought in December and am having the following issues:

1) I know my gauge cluster needs to be repaired as my RPM needle sometimes doesn't move. I've read obout others having these problems as well.
2) I have a check engine light that occasionally comes on. When I read the code its the P0452 Large evap leak. It looked as the P.O. had ordered a new gas cap before I took ownership of it, so I tried that and the light came back on. I ordered a new AC Delco one and thus far the light has stayed off. However at times, seems like when I hit a bump but not always the ECM will flash tighten fuel camp, but then it disappears. ( I read somewhere the ECM only checks at 1/4 and 3/4 tanks of fuel) so I'm not sure if I have a problem there or not. Have not had a smoke test done as yet.
3) My third problem is a strange one. Randomly the ABS and No TC lights will come on. Seems like when its wet, but not always. When I turn off the truck and retart the lights disappear and may not come on for some time. I drove 25 miles today and no lights and then I drove in town and it came on. When those lights are on, it appears to disable the 4WD features, I am assuming for safety. When I turn the H2 back on I can hear the 4WD engage as the lights are off.

I don't notice the truck driving much different at all. Since I've owned it, Ive done a tune up, replaced the muffler and both cat converters and put new brakes and rotors all around.

I'm trying to determine if this is electrical gremlins or if there is a problem. i like things to work right so I'[m asking for advice.

Thanks.,

The gauge cluster needs a rebuild as you know.
The EVAP solenoid is more likely your problem.
You need to scan the ABS and see what code you have. Most likely a bad wheel speed sensor. None of those are a big deal. Congrats on your new rig.

Dropped off at the local mechanic. Looks like the Solenoid but also the front left bearing with the speed sensor is dropping out affecting the ABS. So I appreciate the forums as I've been on a quick learning curve with this thing, but feel like I'm being led in a good direction. I like things to be as perfect as possible no lights or whatever so hopefully after this just get the gauge cluster repaired and I can enjoy her this summer.

Thank you!

Well good news the new bearing and sensor fixed the ABS and No Traction lights. It appears the solenoid didn’t fix the evap leak. Driving down the road the tighten fuel capECM message came on and then a few minutes after the check engine light back on so back to the shop I ho

I have read the emissions does a self check at 3/4 and 1/4 of a tank. Is this correct? It seems to be correct in my case.

Dealer called and said I could spend hundreds of dollars tracing this down but the evap leak will not affect the running of the car. I hate check engine lights. I guess I'm going to drive it as is. They said the evap leak code is somewhat general and extremely sensitive to weather and such. I've put a couple gas caps on, the latest being an AC Delco. Should I try a specific cap from the research I did, this was the common replacement for the 2005 H2.

Thanks again.

No idea if this is the problem or not but it could be. Ran across this some time back and just remembered it. See the attached PDF.
