Apparently, so did I. I didn't know until now GM uses the fly-by wire technology in the Hummers.

I notice the lag as well. anyone know how to correct that?

There's no way to correct the "lag." When the computer sees wide open throttle, it has to deal with a hundred other parameters before it will give you wide open throttle.
