Would you really want that bigscoop sticking out of your fender like that?

I mean, that's something people would expect from ME, not anybody else.
Probably not on my H3. It would suck up too much stuff off road and water, well .....
However I did really do it on my Cummins! I jumped the boost up from 18 psi to 40 and it caved in the stock air intake! So I added the side scoop that is baffled by the inner fender to let water and big chunks drop and exits in front of the turbo intake. 300hp/600ft.lbs torque detuned for low EGT and towing ha ha

I would . no, honestly, I've been thinking about doing something like this. or even something as crude as leading a pipe from the air box to.......I dunno, somewhere where it can get some air.

Well if you do that is a Nicro marine boat scoop. I have found they do not hold up well exposed to UV, duh are you supposed to boat at night? Anyway I shot the one for my truck with automotive paint and it holds up real good. I have had it on there for 5 years. The size I used is a 4 inch. Cutting that hole in metal with a hole say was fun. The Hummer would be easier. I have a piece of an old grill in the one on the truck. Some screen might be good on the H3. You would still have the inner fender area for water to drop out. Maybe on the H3 aim it backwards??
