I am at 9000 miles on my H3 and my brakes sound like they need to be replaced. ALREADY ??? WTF???

When braking suddenly is when i hear the worse noise....its a really bad grinding sound.

anyone else with this same problem ?

HI,

I had a grinding noise on mine if I was stopping on a steep hill. Sounded like I needed new rotors. It ended up that the rear rotors had glazed andrust had formed on the pins in the rear calipers. Dealer machined the rotors to remove the glazing, regreased the pins and installed new pads. Everything is fine now. This was with 14000 km on the H3

 

KTMCanuck hit it right on the head. I have done several 06 H3's with this condition at my dealership. I have yet to replace brake pads on a H3 and have some with over 30k miles. This brake noise occurs on sudden medium to hard stops and is a grating/grinding noise. Steve

 

steve....yes that is exactly what is happening...i called the dealer and made an appt for weds...

i bought a set of mud flaps from someone at my work that got rid of their h3 before installing....going to ask them how much to put them on while its there.
