Another new issued discovered.

Oil pan gasket is seeping. Not a leak yet, but definitely seeping. Have heard/read the replacement is a pain. I will deal with this later...don't have an ETA.

As of this morning, the movement was a bit more fluid. Truthfully, I didn't screw in all of the screws I removed in case my temporary fix doesn't really work. Time will tell, and I will update.
So, a few days ago my shifter was stuck and would not shift out of park. Since the screws were already removed, all I did was open the arm rest and pull up on the plastic insert. I stuck my hand through the opening, found the mushroom metal thing and completely pressed it in. I was able to shift out of park and on my way I went. So, this tells me my temporary fix on the internal button shaft/connector that depresses the yellow shifter shaft is actually working. However, there is something else causing me to have the stuck in park issue. I will continue to monitor and report back as this issue occurs.

Showing pics of the various cracks I found. Never would have guessed door panel was so jacked. I utilized a type of dynamat I bought off of eBay. It has a thick rubber pad with strong adhesive. Placed it on the back side of the panel near/on/around cracks. Also attached to actual door area behind panel.

All of this took care of rattles. Reused 11 yr old panel tabs...panel stayed attached for 3 days then popped off.back to rattles. Ordered new panel clips off of eBay.

Chose clips that are 1.29" in length to ensure all of the tab locations attached to door. A few of the clips no longer reached their designated locations...too short/broken. Originally bought some from AutoZone, but too short. Plan to attach sound deadening material to the other 3 doors and change out any/all tabs I find.

Tightened the 4 body mounts on each side. This seems to have helped a small degree with popping sounds.

Took the H2 for an alignment on Friday.

Sway bar end links are shot. Drivers side is missing a complete bushing.

Steering stabilizer is leaking....seems to be original.

Steering gear is loose as is the lower steering shaft.

Despite these issues, they were able to align it. To my surprise, alignment was not out of spec by a large margin.

I took it for in bc the steering wheel had a lot of slop/slack. Alignment removed 50% of the slack. The alignment also made the steering wheel sit dead center as opposed to ****-eyed. Front tires were also wearing on the center and skipping a tread on the sides.
Rotated the tires myself today. Broke my breaker bar in the process....while tightening the lugs.

Took the H2 on its maiden voyage today. 120 miles round trip. Mostly smooth ride. Tires howl/hum quite a bit. But what do you expect with 38" tires. Handles well despite front suspension parts that are worn. Bad headwind on the way to Dallas.....all kinds of noise. Driving 70mph. Got 8.6mpg. On the way back, no headwind....much quieter. Got 10mpg.

Not sure if the windshield noise is present given all the wind and howling from tires. I hardly ever drive it on the highway. 30 to 40 mph doesn't have a noise issue. I'm getting 7.3 mpg with just city driving.
