Default 98 H1 Shifting problems

All-
I have a 1998 H1. Recently, I have been having transmission shifting problems and speedometer problems. Sometimes the speedometer doesn't register any speed at all, sometimes it registers erratic speed, and sometimes it seems to work fine. The transmission seems to shift fine when it is is cold, and sometimes it shifts hard into 2nd gear. Once it has warmed up, I'll be driving and it sounds like it has jumped out of gear. When I step on the pedal, the engine revs up, but there is no acceleration. I slow down to 15-20 miles per hour, shift to second, and it works ok, but I can't get it up to highway speed again on a hill. I changed the fluid and filter, had to drain some fluid out because it was overfull, but it is at the right level now and still having problems. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Thanks. I'll check that out this week. Hopefully something simple like that. Thought maybe I'd need to change the shift solenoids.
