While it's true that no one posting on this thread has first-hand knowledge of the deal (i.e. in the board room), it's odd to me that someone would push so hard on an issue that the CEO has addressed directly by saying, "Under the terms of the definitive agreement with GM, all H3 and H3T models will be built at the Shreveport Assembly facility until 2011, with an optional one-year extension to 2012. We are currently evaluating production options and locations in the US for long-term production."

Anything can change between now and when a deal is complete, but for now, I'm going to trust what the #1 guy at HUMMER is saying.

Well paisano, maybe I should post the photos.

I came here because my family was hit terribly by a driver who blew a stop sign, just a few weeks before Christmas. I am so thankful to God and Hummer for making a truck that withstood a 30+ mph hit to the side that could have wiped out my entire family. My 2 kids are 3 & 4.

While my wife is still in a ton of pain and my little ones still a bit traumatized, I'm trying hard to replace what we lost as quickly as I can, in the hopes of minimizing the incident.

While searching for H3 forums I came across this one and some of the posts appeared knowledgeable and active. Yeah, I came here looking for help, instead, well...

I'm in the media business, so after calls to dealers, then GM I contacted others I know and the info I posted was the info I got.

2010's are hitting the dealerships now (as I was told) and all I'm trying to do is get a new H3 that is as close in options, color, etc. as the one that saved my family's life.

As I was looking and speaking with people who work for GM, etc. it broke my heart that our Government is ensuring this brand dies off, not for any other reason then to please a small group of freaks.

I never heard of websites dedicated to giving Hummer owners the finger or whatever and yes our H3 saw scratches in places that didn't make sense or someone would put a piece of garbage on the hood, etc. But that is not why I came here, it was to give a first hand account of thankfulness to Hummer and to find another one as quickly as possible.

Hope that clears some of it up for you (I'm Neapolitan, by the way).

1- I was trying to be nice, but you are right.

2- We will all find out soon enough, right now need just one.

3- Like I said, they are starting to come into the dealerships now, as I was previously told. Have located a few in Dallas, TX, but it appears will be able to have a decent selection in the Los Angeles area.

4- Thanks.

5- We have a really good insurance company, but still awaiting to get the settlement amount. Rejected their first offer. Not aware of an insurance company assisting with getting a new car, in terms of locating one for you. Is that what you mean?

H32006 - Let me introduce you to the tool I used to shop for my H3.

www.autotrader.com

These are the results from a search on that site.

"We found 125 listings with 135 total vehicles within 200 miles of Los Angeles, CA"

Default Should assist

H3200-back in 2007 my 2006 mdx burned up.the insurance co. was jacking me around on a settlement and i told them
1- find me a 2006 with 18,000 mile on it

2-give me the amount i want to buy a 2006

3-if you do not i am going to see my lawyer, and sue you even though you are my own co.

they could not find a 2006 so gave me pretty close to what i wanted.

best of luck and i know it is frustrating with the insurance co.

Just heard back from my lawyer who is dealing with the settlement and they are not upping their offer. They are assigning $0 to over $6K in options. Absolutely furious at the moment.

Not a single example they provided of so-called other like vehicles come close to mine in both miles and options.

My attorney is telling me I can have it appraised and then see what can be done from there.

Default They are a piece of work-the insurance company

H32006-it is a joke with these companies.
i do not know if your family is getting any medical treatment but you may have to pull the monies out of the back end on the final settllement.
they can be very pricky right up to the end-i was a little better position having only a 1 yr old car but they tighten up as the cars get older.
best of luck in dealing with them and let us know when you aquire your new hummer.
and best wishes to your family in there recovery.

I know. My H3 had 20,000 miles on it. Not a scratch, garaged, etc. I hope to at least have another option, in dealing with the insurance company, tomorrow. Don't know what company you had but mine is USAA.

Everything else they have handled great and yes, my wife is needing to either see a doctor or receive treatment 3 days a week. She might have to get surgery on her knee.

Kids freak out every time they have to get into the car (our other car is not an H3.).

So, trying times no doubt and will report back as soon as we get another which I'm hoping will be by 2/1.

Thanks again for the well wishes.

i think this sale stuff is just pouring salt on the wounds of hummer.

they should do to hummer what they offered pontiac , and let the brand die with honor, instead of being a chinese owned gimmick making front wheel drive hybrids with a hummer grill on front.
