Does anyone have any troubleshooting information on these Magna Donnelly rear view mirrors?

 

I thought mine was broke one time, but the kids were playing around and turned it off. 08 H2, it might be the same on yours. Hope this helps.

 

Same here, my detail guy turned it off while cleaning it. Lucky for me mine still works fine.

 

Thanks for responding, but my pop out screen is always out. I did push it in once, and the next time I started it and put it in reverse, it popped out and stayed out. There is a green light that blinks only when I put it in reverse. Once it lit up for a split second but no picture. I’m really wondering if there is a newer style replacement that will work? I am also wondering if anyone has taken one apart and found a fix?

I wouldn't keep pushing it in all the time. It's not supposed to work like a DVD player. JS. Wish I knew more about it. The older H3s might have the same kind of mirror. You can probably check with those guys/girls. Lol, I might be a lot smaller tho.

 

No! This was a special edition only mirror that hides the OEM backup camera screen.

 

Chances are it’s nothing special. Most of the newer h2s without navigation had this style mirror. I removed mine when I put a Kenwood in because it’s so damn ugly. I’d rather not have a backup camera than have to look at one of those chonky pieces in my windshield, but that’s just me.😂

See if there’s a part number on the mirror anywhere and google it.

Do you know if this mirror will work in my 2006 H2 Limited Edition with that pop out display?
