03 H2 radio upgrade
Most folks want to upgrade to Bluetooth, Sat(USA)/DAB(UK) Radio, SAT NAV, Andriod Auto, MP3, DVD, USB, SD Card etc, Back-Up camera which is why your post seemed to be "hijacked"
When changing the stock radio your steering controls, Chimes and OnStar will all need to be considered, not too sure what happens to the rear controls can't recall reading about this. When I get a moment I'll check my H2 to see what happens to the rear controls, I suspect they no longer work.
You could look at an FM transmitter device to get AUX input this way which would be very cheap and quick.

Thanks oceanbrave. I was really wanting to keep all of the controls so I had the thought that maybe a newer radio from a gm might just be a plug and play idea. I am also looking at a product from I simple which adds the aux function and they are relatively inexpensive. Let me know what you find out on yours.
Thanks
Thanks
There are two ***** on my panel each close to a headphone jack according to the user manual these control the headphone levels rather than the speakers. I did try the headphone jacks and adjusting the ***** and neither seemed to work, nor did any of the other controls.

lojac963 and oceanbrave are right, even if there was a gm radio that would fit in the area the wiring and factory programming would be costly, after market and good installer is the way to go. cost and feature wise.
For aux in, bluetooth, etc, etc one would definitely have to go aftermarket with all the interfaces.
I did a double din DVD player/radio in my 06 GTO many years ago. Using different interfaces I got all the controls (steering wheel) and other odd and ends working as stock. It was miles of wiring to make the harness with all the interfaces but it is definitely possible.
This is what is involved in accessing the stock radio, ignore everything after the main DIN connector left and right, that's just wiring for the new radio system.
This link regarding kit is worth a read and also this one dealing with dash removal , plus all the related posts, its a subject well covered.
