I haven’t had time to work on it again until today. I spent an hour after work. I’ve replaced the fpcu because it had the usual corrosion inside, and I wanted it replaced either way. Today I tested for power at the fpcu plug. The relay up front is not switching and supplying power when the key is on. I can jump power across the relay and the fpcu harness has power in all of the right places. At this point I am starting to look at the aftermarket alarm system, but that has to be another day! It’s something stupid, but I’ll find it! I’m going to pull the main alarm box to the aftermarket setup and open it up to see if it has corrosion inside. The remote works, the remote start works, but something is keeping the truck from switching that relay. Open to suggestions!
Can someone post photos from their alpha of the hose that went here and where it ran to? One of you gave me the part number (thank you) but I think the previous owner ran a hose somewhere it shouldn’t be and I need to straighten it out…
here is another photo of what’s going on with mine!
photos of a proper set up would be appreciated.
I still haven’t gotten it running but it’s clean in and out, and I’ve gotten the flooded headlight taken care of.
I have some time to look at it today and have a dealer tech 2 to utilize today so hopefully I’ll have an actual diagnoses later. Hoping it’s just a weak fuel pump or something totally unrelated to the flood because at this point I’ve found zero real issues anywhere else and I’ve only replaced the Fpcu.
