Hi guys. my name is Mirco and I write from Italy. Thanks for having access to this forum! I am a Hifi Car enthusiast, and a friend of mine is a happy owner of a Hummer 5.3 V8 Alpha. my friend intends to replace the standard car radio, to mount one with an Android display and car. I will have to help him make the replacement and keep the original Monsoon sub. unfortunately I can't figure out which cable to buy, is it the "Crux socgm-17c" model? I've read some posts here from you, but I don't understand if you can get the original sub to work. (a question: the original amplifier located next to the Monsoon sub does not amplify the front and rear speakers, but only the sub, right?). someone in Italy used a "simple" connector to connect the car radio and then took power from the airbag power cable (but it doesn't seem like a good idea). Thanks to everyone who will help me!

 

On an H3 the Monsoon amplifier powers every speaker including the 2 Ohm DVC subwoofer.
You will need an interface between the aftermarket head unit and the monsoon wiring behind the OEM head unit.
