Default How can I connect the monsoon sub amp to my new head unit sub pre out?

Currently I have the speaker connected to the head unit with the pcm kit that I got with normal wires (not sure the name of this input). Is there a way to connect the sub front and rear speakers to the preouts on my Sony ax5500? I want to have direct control of the sub so that when I increase bass it only increases volume of the sub.

Another question, has anyone with monsoon system used the amp from an aftermarket head unit for front and rear speakers?

(I looked everywhere in multiple forums and couldn't get a straight answer)

Thanks so much!

Current speakers: JBL gto629 premium F+R
Sub: Rockford 8" 2ohm fosgate

Nope. The amp for the Monsoon is in the back next to the sub, it powers the sub and all speakers. When you use an adapter, it connects your head unit to the Monsoon amp through factory wiring.

To to what you want, you will need to disconnect the factory amp, install a new amp for the sub at least, run the wires & pre-outs yourself.
