Hello to all or Y'all, I am a new member here from VA and very much interested in the Hummer vehicle. I recently sold my 2002 Durango at 278K miles and currently drive a 2000 Dodge Durango Sport 4x4. I am the original owner of both and perform my own repairs. It has 267K miles and parts are becoming scarce so I have heard a lot of good things about the H3 and am looking. I hope to find one soon as surf fishing will begin soon and I need a reliable vehicle to drive on the beach in North Carolina. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who would like to share their comments about Hummers. I am looking for at least a 2009 or even 2010 as I read the 2010 was the best H3 with fewer complaints. Best regards and looking forward to being more involved her once I have my own H3.

Welcome to HF.
2010s are pretty scarce, and I do not buy the "fewer complaints" thing since there was less of them made to complain about. If you are looking for an Alpha, the 08 & 09 have the LH8 motor which is far easier to mod than the 10 with an LH9.

Reply on 2010
Thank you for your reply, Doc Olds. I did look at the 2010 and there was so much rust on the frame I'd be afraid the frame would crack is less than 100K miles. Also there was rust at the bottom of the doors and engine compartment. Needless to say, I did not purchase.
