I need a hitch for my H3t, I got rear ended while towing a trailer and it folded my hitch. Gm doesn't sell them anymore and no aftermarket parts available. There are some other things I need too, but I will start with that. Thanks
Junk yards, carparts.com or someone with a "T" who does not use theirs are the only places you will find the OEM H3T hitch.
I tried a year ago to buy one from GM. It was a discontinued part back then.
I know it's not what you want to hear.
I figured that was going to be the case, I will probably end up fixing my hitch and carry on. It has been such a good truck, I can't believe they stopped building them.
You may be able to have someone fab up a new crossbeam with a receiver hole in it. But I wouldn't trust it to carry much weight.
As you can see the OEM slips into the frame AND bolts directly to the frame #7 on the diagram (94701791)
The Insurance would pay for one, but none are available anywhere according to dealership. So I have an option for a buyout for the price of the new parts and labor. That doesn't do me much good if I have to get it fabbed up and the cost is more to make one. If I can find one, even a used one somewhere it would save a bunch of Fing around.
