I would always sleep on the hood of my HMMWV in the field and on the hood of my MATV down range so it just bring back memoirs.

With weight the only thing going up there is the spare tire or me in a chair fishing. I've never had a need to put anything up there but me and my son so I don't worry about the weight.

 

Hard to believe but with the lift kit, 20 wheels with 35" tires and rack I was getting 11-12 MPG, with the rack pulled off for a buddy to use I'm getting 13-14 MPG. Shows how much of a hit a rack can do to you.

You talking about a spring over axle job? Haven't done it yet but I have all the parts and just waiting to have the time on droping the tank and knock it out.

 

Nope ... differnet than a axle flip... but i looked closer and saw it wasnt.. the spring flip with a softer spring in the rear would be nice or if i get one to play with a coil over 3 or 4 link would be the direction I am going to be looking to take ..
