You tested the front(windshield washer) pump switch from the REAR pump connector on the reservoir?

With your wife holding the front (windshield) washer switch, you need to check connector at the rear pump(on the reservoir).

Or you could swap the lines where they enter the cowel(above the tank) and use the rear washer switch for the windshield.

It is not important whether the Sunroof has been opened or not. It is important that your passenger floor got wet. The BCM is mounted behind the Passenger side Kick Plate. Clogged Sunroof Drains allow water to overspill the Sunroof Tray and run down the A Pillar directly on the BCM and its connecting Harness. Gremlins galore are possible after that, including possessed or failed windshield wipers and washer pumps. Pop the Kick Plate and inspect the BCM and its connections for corrosion and clean with CRC electronics cleaner if corrosion is present (Battery disconnected until dry).

Do the fix ASAP. Finally, a fix for clogged sunroof drain tubes

Sure. There are some other threads/posts on the BCM. There are some vids on line as well. Remove the plastic door sill first, then the kick plate.

Good luck
