It looks to me like the complete bar was sold because it was made for the vehicle(s?) that shared the frame but had no hooks and then a hummer h3 specific fix came out? The photo shows both with almost the same part number. I’m just curious if the tow hook points are strong enough because the cross-member would be so far back. The 400 one that provides a cross-member might be harder to install. I don’t want to go to the trouble if it’s not necessary.
As I search more, I’m finding the two types for the same price so it comes down to easier installation. I’ll look for installation instructions for both.
