My 2006 leaks terribly. The front weep holes clog up every few months and water pours in on either me or my wife depending i=on the direction of the curve. Water will also drip/pour down through the microphone above the driver head.

Local garage will attempt to blow out holes every so often but it just keeps happening. My wife has already said she never wants another sunroof in any vehicle we own.

This is the reason I chose not to have a sunroof when I purchased my T. My 2005 ZR2 had problems with leaking after 4 months of owning it. Must have been at the dealer over a half a dozen times all from water coming in from the roof. I had seals replaced, drains unclogged you name it it was replaced. I love sunroofs but this experience put a bad taste in my mouth.
When I was buying my T, the first thing that came to mind was "no sunroof=no water leak".

Exactly what happened to me with my 06.. Thankfully I took it to the dealer in time for a warranty service. They had it all day "drying out the headliner." Not sure what they did but it was good for a while. Mine is garage kept when at home but not at work. If it rains while at work I have to use a towel to soak up the water in that little tray (sunroof open) to avoid it spilling out of the on-star mic...

Seems to me they could come up with a better drain system. If they would put the exit tubes to the back instead of down then mud wouldn't get into them.

People like to say sunroofs always leak. Hate to say it but my Audi NEVER leaked. Course I can't bounce my Audi off a 3 foot embankment, crawl over two downed trees and plow through 14 inches of sludge just for fun but hey, I was dry!

lol

Sunroof drains require maintenance on just about any car, Really it's not that big of a deal to plug in an air compressor once every six months and blow 30ish psi thru the lines. They are not going to pop off if you use some common sense and not crank your compressor all the way up.

Thank you for the rubber tipped advice. I had been trying with a regular air nozzle. I set my regulator to 25 psi to be safe. 2 seconds later I heard it break free. Both right and left on the front were clogged. This is the first time that I had ever received a lap full of water in my 06 H3. I had been trying to clear it for about 3 hours. Your advice is the only thing that worked. Thank you very much.

For the rear drains:

Remove the rear wheel liners and look up in the wheel wheel near the the rear seat belt location. You'll see the rear drain outlet nozzle. You'll see a squished end with a narrow opening. If you get a razor blade and cut perpendicular to the outlet (slicing off the tip) you can open of the outlet. As you slice back you will expose a larger opening. Be careful not top push the nozzle into the cab our you will removing interior panel to push the nozzle back in the hole. Since I did this, I never had a problem in the rear. My H3 gets parked facing up so I never had to mess with the front drains.

thats gotta be the "clogger!" sounds like the "nipple" on air cond drain. ive only seen that b4 but now im going to clip mine in advance.
suppose they "close" it to keep bugs out?
i tried weed whacker plastic in front as a test and it stops abt 30 inches in.??
ive not had a problem, just checkin stuff.

btw,im sure they all have to leak some.thats what drains are for.some cars may never leak inside because the drains work,,or the leak is not noticed.on a rainy day my probe dripped on my left knee with the lid closed tite. i noticed

is there any safe fuild we can use to pour it down there to unclog it? Hey why not Drain-O ?? LOL J/K, but maybe something mild like witch hazel? On another note I try to open my roof every now and then and clean the inside so the dirt/ rain minerals don't build up. Im sure this is good practice for all of us that have a sunroof with any car.

I'm not sure why the nozzle is squished down - maybe bugs. Maybe the front has the same squished nozzle too and that's where the week whacker cord stopped at.

I had the same issue with my sunroof leaking thru the on star mic and the dealer told me it was a design flaw that caused it. I don't know the specifics, but they told me once they install the new parts it will not leak again. I live in oregon and it hasn't leaked in the year since. It sounds like un clogging the drain is a temporary fix....like adding a quart of oil every couple weeks because you have an oil leak. I would talk to the dealer or gm and ask about any changes that have been made to the sunroof kit that resolves this issue.
