hi hello. so I have a 2006 h3 and I have just figured out recently that I was driving in 4 high all this time ( about 2,000 miles) my hummer has 200245 miles on it and I know its a money pit at this point but there's a lot of sentiment in the truck itself. and I already spent about 3,042 bucks on the general repairs to get it running decently. It's a standard. and all the tips I've gotten to get it into neutral have been futile is there any way I can manually turn the transfer case into neutral? it's killing my gas mileage and i don't want to crack another piston head because of it. i have tried pressing 4 high and 4 low locks at the same time, but that didn't work anything helps.
