Default Stuck in 3rd gear!! Key gets stuck in ignition. Help 😔

I was going up a hill today and I got stuck, it was like I was starting off in 3rd gear and it wont upshift or downshift from 3rd. Just started today, I have no clue, and can't afford to put it in a shop. And have any insight???

Default It’s most likely the transmission fuse in the fuse block under the hood

Had the same problem with my 2004 H2 it was a fuse under the hood. Pop off the cover, flip it over and read the fuse box diagram and find the transmission fuse. Pull it out and check if it’s burnt out. As for the key sticking its related to the shifter control harness on the bottom, possibly just a broken wire on the harness connector.
Hope it helps
Joe

Did you check the linkage that connects your transmission to the cable shifter.

It could be bad ignition switch. Take a look of it and change if necessary.

Default Transmission linkage

Make sure the transmission is linkage is connected. There's a plastic connector underneath on the driver's side next to the transmission. That connector breaks sometimes & won't allow you to shift or take the keys out. It's an easy fix.
