Default Strongest Hood Lift Supports

Greetings. Yes, I did check all the old posts with all the possible key words. I realize why you would want to keep the questions and posts very strictly catalogued. I got posts that were not ever related to my query. I appreciate that. I want to know what your opinions and/or experiences regarding the strongest Hood Support/lifts for an H3. I've bought what the mechanic recommended as the best of the best, only to have the hood drop on me a couple of months later. Now I carry a strong wooden stick in my cargo space. Nice defense too. I've visited a couple of the cited brands from an AI query, but not impressed. Wondering if you folks would know about a really heavy duty lift support. The type that can keep a bridge open.
Thank you.

I still have my OEM Hood Lift Supports, they work fine except in winter when the hood gets a cover of snow & ice.

If it were me, I'd go to RockAuto and buy the ACDelco Gold supports. They cost twice what the off brands do and you get what you pay for.

Not exactly what you are looking for but mine would close on me on windy days so I got these and keep one with me:

Little easier than toting a stick.
