Default Rocker Guard Paint to Underbody

To get a really sharper looking underbody from the side and rear views- hit it with RockerGuard Tough black paint. I go along all the exposed underbody frame from the sides and also do the rusty looking leafs.

If any future rust spots pop up just hit that area again. I’ve been doing this for about 3-4 years now. First time, hit all areas with Extend Rust Primer. I just redid mine today, the before winter prep.

Incredible how 15 mins of work and it makes the side and rear look so much better instead of seeing a crappy rusty underbody view on a clean waxed H3! 👍🏻 Go look at your rig!

Awesome, this looks really good!

I was also preparing to do the same with my '07. I purchased undercoating, however; what you have is actual paint I believe. Do you have experience with both? Should I consider the duplicolor option instead?

I love the way it turns out with the Duplicolor and for about 10-15 bucks it shows off a great look from the side (I just spray the frame visible from ground level viewable side).

I used Rocker Guard black. For the rust use Permatex or similar Extend rust phos conversion spray first. Convert as much surface rust possible then use the Rocker Guard. There are a few variations in the market this type of paint. Then, every year if needed hit the rust spots that pop up from rocks etc. It’s a textured slightly rubbery paint coating that resists some abrasion. Looks sweet especially on the leafs looking from rear.

Well for me, i did cleaned and grinded all first. Then i put all the under-body , axles and chassis on Hammerit.... good by to the rust . Did the same this year to complete and sprayed Bitumen on the chassis to protect from all rust and stone impact.

Bitumen forms thick coat that has no active rust protection, rocks can make a crack in coat, invisible to eye, water will seep into it and will destroy anything inside while looking good from outside.

Well, I am speaking as someone who lives in rust belt, if you are outside it, you might be fine.

Looks good trough
