I have the classic crack on my 2008 H3, under 50K miles on it.
Drivers side top, the crack lines up with that body work.
Looking to get oem replacement.

I have the Gimmy cracked core and they don't care syndrome.

My 2006 H3 developed a leak around the top tank as well at 50,000 - I got an exact replacement from radiator express for about $200 bucks delivered and it was a easy replacement.

Hey guys I have a 07h3 and a 09h3t. Both of mine had the same mark where the metal rubbed, or shall I say was pressed against the radiator just below the hold down bracket. I am lucky that I just stopped on this post and decided to check. I removed the bracket and milled the hole back about a 1/4" to take the pressure off an then before reinstalling the bracket I put a piece of rubber that was also about 1/4" in between the metal edge and radiator and reinstalled the top clamp. A 5 min fix that looks to save a lot of headache later. Pass this on to everyone!

you should read back a year or two. a spacer pushing it will stress it more!. you need to cut off the excess metal. good luck.

definitely. Don't leave pressure on the tank, grind it down and maybe put a soft foam in there if so inclined.

No more pressure on the tank than before, I enlarged the hole in the tank bracket and use a washer when I reinstalled the bracket. I installed a piece of rubber between the metal and tank to minimize vibration and to disperse the touch point over a larger area. I am pretty new to the forum and I thank you guys for putting the info out there.

The pressure most are referring to is the pressure when the tank contacts the lip of the radiator support, not the pressure of the bracket and grommet. The easiest fix is to simply grind down the lip of the support which solves the problem if you still have contact there, but it doesn't sound like you do.
