(DUCKS)

Yes, I am hearing from others as well as you guys that is not the case.

On another forum, was told to get a very expensive harness to keep all controls.

Unclear on that, but apologize for passing along bad information.

My understanding is the Monsoon system has the factory amplifier / subwoofer.

Aftermarket radios do require the adapter you were told about unless you are gutting everything and starting from scratch.

All of the speaker wires come from the amp located next to the subwoofer in the rear compartment. The plug at the radio sends signals to the amp.

I upgraded the standard radio so I didn’t have the factory amp to deal with.

i used one of this guys harnesses. plug and play. i think it was the aux 2 harness but if you go this route just email him first. it uses the xm channel for your input. i think the oem radios look nice in dash since they matched the buttons, *****, and the silver background. i actually replaced the oem nav with the oem 6 disk head unit just to get rid of that glowing screen. im old now i guess

Corvette Aux Input

Default My 2 cents

I had a very hard time finding a plug and play aux input for my h3 base with the monsoon. I found this and I'm glad I did! Literally took 5 min and I did it in the oreilly parking lot.
