Default Convert Onstar to Bluetooth?

Only a couple very old write ups. I'm sure there's new tech out there. The one unit the write up is about costs $300. Does anyone know about any cheaper alternative. I have a 2006 base model with the low end stereo that I cannot believe came in a $36k truck. It's embarrassing

What are your goals?

I was able to wire in a 3.5mm aux input through the XM radio unit (which still can play XM radio as well). So now i can play music from my ipod, phone, and answer calls through my speakers as well.

Eventually I want a new head unit once the monsoon system bites the dust.

I bought the costar unit. It was easy to install but never worked properly. Called the tech customer service and they made a big show that they would help. They said turn up the volume but nothing else. It still doesn't work and they have nothing but silence to add.
