Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I had a power steering wine so I filled it and thought nothing of it. 3 days later, get the wine. So I started deducing culprits and found a pipe/hose resting against the oil pan. It was significantly oil soaked location either power steering fluid or oil I don’t know yet. At least not for sure. Looks like oil line from power steering pump? But the hose goes to the ps pump.
anyway.
well I think that groove wore through the line.
I need to know what that line hose is?
You can see the groove won’t in play the pipe/hose I believe the pipe has a worn hole.
anyway I can’t drive it right now as it’s a spurter
Any ideas you guys might have would be great. Guessing I need to just replace this pipe/hose and keep it from abrasion better than the last guy.
It does come from the bottom of the PS pump
Hose replacement, and make sure that the new one doesn't rest against the oil pan. Take a close look at the pan, too, to make sure that it hasn't worn a hole there as well.
I haven’t seen a hole in the oil pan. I need to get a scope cam in there to see if there is any pin hole.
is this hose a high pressure return hose?
trying to figure which hose to buy.
and yes I will make sure it’s not capable of rubbing on the oil pan.
