Hello everyone, just joined the forum although I've been reading it for years. Time to treat my 08 alpha adventure to some new tires/rims. I've spent countless hours searching for the best backspace, and am still lost. Can anyone suggest a specific rim(16-17) that fits well and doesn't stick out too far? Almost pulled the trigger on pro comp 17x9 with 4-1/2 backspace but not sure if they'll stick out too far. Planning to put 315's or 35's on. Front or rear pics would be a HUGE help. My stock chrome plated 16's are peeling bad & starting to leak. I've replaced 1 already. Thanks in advance, Tom

Upgraded my tires to the BFGoodrich Km3. I went with 315/75/16. OEM Wheels were pretty corroded and started leaking right after I got the tires installed. I decided on Method Race Wheels MR308 16x8. Really happy with the look. I had a full tune up done right before I got my tires so my baseline is skewed, but I haven't noticed any significant loss of power or MPG's. Your alpha will be fine with 35s.

From a years old post here by Bunger, been posted many times, we have a search feature here:
"Stock OEM 16" diameter wheel is 7.5" wide, 6x5.5"(6x139.7mm) lug pattern, 101 mm center bore, offset is 30mm, and back spacing is 5.5".
When choosing new wheels you need:
1) 6x5.5" lug pattern
2) 101 mm minimum center bore. (H3's are HUB centric, meaning that the wheels locate on the hub center, which is 100 mm, so you can't go too large on the center bore either)
3) 5.5" MAX backspace, less backspace will make tires stick out more as will wider wheels."
IMHO, with a 9" wheel, what you are looking at is gonna stick out goofy far.

Side steps are from NFAB. I believe they make rock sliders with removable steps in a similar style if you plan on doing serious wheeling.
