Borla did make a cat back for the alpha. I bought mine directly from them several years back for 300 usd at a clearance sale. When they came I found out that they were the same ones as the GM performance exhaust (apparently borla built them for GM).
Not a big change in sound. No drone and not really loud. The 1500 trucks sound louder in stock form over an Alpha with a Borla.

thanks amrg,
That means there is a chance ( probably very slim ) that there might be a BORLA/GM laying on an ex HUMMER dealer shelf. BORLA is about the only system that I could imagine being superior to the MAGNAFLOW. I have been able to pick up a few unique H3 nos parts from local ex dealers. Is your crossover a "unmolested" 2 1/2 in. ?

Yes the crossover is unchanged. The borla/gm exhaust on both the I5 and Alpha only modifies the exhaust starting from the resonator.
The biggest change on an Alpha would be to delete the rear cats as the 1500 trucks dont have as many as the H3

Thanks again,
I think I would prefer to stay with the MAGNAFLOW because it replaces the restrictive stock crossover. Learn something every day!

Iirc the GM performance exhaust added almost 1 sec to my 0-60. My test was done in 60* weather (LS engines pull timing/reduce power with higher temps).
