Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I don’t know the brand but the part number is 12568580. I got it off eBay and they didn’t have a brand name.
You just uncovered your problem. When you stick with ACDelco replacement parts, these problems are avoided. If you do not know what it is you installed, neither do we. Just because it is brand new does not mean it is not defective either. All man made parts have a failure rate.
When you said a while back you put electrical contact grease on it............. what was that? Dielectric grease is NOT a conductor, it is essentially and insulator, if it got on the contacts, it needs to be cleaned off.
Good luck.

Though it is probably not really needed in this case, there is nothing wrong with dielectric grease on electrical connections. It was made for electrical connections. If your connection doesn't work with dielectric grease then it won't work w/o it.
Dielectric grease is not a conductor, but a protector.
DIELECTRIC GREASE is not a solid! When two electrical contacts come together, they displace the grease, allowing METAL TO METAL contact through which voltage flows. The grease that remains AROUND the points of contact prevents moisture from reaching the contacts / connection, preventing corrosion / contact failure. Also with high thermal conductivity which provides an efficient means of heat transfer.
Firstly, pisser about the TB not functioning but take a breather and regroup.
This is been covered before in videos on YouTube and there are some known variables.
1) we need to verify that your getting voltage and ground, signal on the correct pins for the TB/tps.
2) checking continuity from the individual pins backwards to the PCM
3) verification that you indeed are not shorting out or have no broken wires in this section of the harness
4) I recommend pine hollow auto diagnostics or South main auto on YouTube (both cover TB,tps, app in-depth with gm product lines)
They do not cover Hummer but they do have some great content. Just watch some videos and you might get some extra insight how the system works.
Always start with the basics.
Ground
12v
Signal wire(if applicable)

I just got and installed an ACDelco throttle body and now it’s working great. That’s what I get for trying to save Ali Tyler money lesson learned the hard way. Now I feel like an idiot on here. The stuff I used on the electrical connections is for When I worked on Harleys it’s an electrical connection lubricant. Thanks everyone for all the info.

For a full refund! Also advise the seller their Chinavirus POS part, is NOT compatible with a !

Silicone Dielectric Grease is not the same as Thermal Grease. Silicone Dielectric Grease is a temperature resistant material used for lubrication and as a sealant to prevent corrosion. Thermal Grease is a temperature conductive material used to assist with efficient heat transfer to a heat sink. Depends on which is being used and not to be lumped together.
When used properly it can protect a circuit. When globbed on like BBQ Sause on a rib ........ too much is not a good thing and its not needed to begin with.
From TheDrive:
Q: So Does Dielectric Grease Improve a Connection?
A: No, dielectric grease is not conductive, so it does not improve connectivity. It helps maintain a good connection, though.
Q: Yeah, But Is Vaseline a Dielectric Grease?
A: Dielectric grease is different from Vaseline, as it uses a silicone base while Vaseline is petroleum jelly, which is made of waxes and minerals. Don’t use Vaseline in your car.
Q: Then Is Dielectric Grease Necessary?
A: No, dielectric grease is not needed for any connections to work.
Q: Can Dielectric Grease Cause a Short?
A: No, it cannot. If anything, it will help prevent shorts.
Q: How Can You Remove Dielectric Grease?
A: CRC suggests using “petroleum distillates and chlorinated solvents.”
Doc, I didn't see any 'nots' except for the BBQ sauce comparison . It is not needed for a connection to work; it is used to protect the connection. I've seen enough corroded electrical connections to know its value.
