exactly to the point

though even some RWD does it
my 2013 camaro ss ls3 v8 6mt has scary violent loud creepy clunk

get to 10-20kmh in 1st gear let of gas then immediatly push in the clutch hard and fast

and be surprised
can be heared with windows up ac on full blast radio on full volume
of course people outside the car are not happy either

i believe it's due to the two-peice driveshaft in camaro

Good to know it's not unique, TY. My Suburban nor any of my previous Chevy 4x's didnt do it...well, maybe a little actually if I let off and got back into the pedal pretty quickly. This is just more pronounced and is so damn speed specific, but it is definitely wound a little tighter drivetrain wise than my Burban ever was. That truck you could back out of the drive and drop into Drive without coming even close to stopping and no problem...smooth as could be. My X wants a full stop, or nearly anyway.

Thanks guys...couldnt just go with "NPF" without some other owner clarification

i will do TB cleaning soon
Cleaning a TB has absolutely nothing to do with shifting issues, but it does have everything to do with false stall and rough idle symptoms.

Normal for all 4x4 vehicles using a Transfer Case,
this is old but ive been checking mine since it started. so many times here i hear "they all do it,,,and mine doesnt, so i feel that mine is bad!!

but drivetrain slop from the tc just doesnt fit here. i dont feel the "slop" and i cant see the tc doing it.

it has to be tranny i think, or related controls.

6 out of 6 we have owned have had the "slop" and 1 was a manual trans.
It gets worse as your tire size increases too.
You can really feel it with the 37"s.
We just wait a 1/2 a second and no slop.

I have an 08 Alfa. I have the problem that you are having. It started out at about 50k. Got worse as time went by. Then started feeling vibrations while driving.
Took it in at about 65k. A lot of off roading up to the point.
Dealer rebuilt the transfer case. Bearings bad. chain was stretched. Thus the slop in the drive train. After the repair everything was back to normal for about two years. And almost no off roading.
I am once again having the same symptoms. Of course the repair is no longer covered.
I am getting ready to pull the case and rebuild it my self. I am wondering if this is a common problem with these transfer cases.
