Default Strange brake issue

The issue I'm having with my 2006 H3, is when I hit the brakes just a little bit I hear a type of clicking sound through the radio and the volume drops down a little bit and slowly restores to its original setting!

Thanks for your help in advanced.

Marty make sure the Auto volume setting is off for starters... Otherwise is it the OEM radio? Speakers? Sounds like you might have a bad ground otherwise...

Ok so I turned off the auto volume, and the trouble is still there. I no[B]ticed that when the noise happens, the HVAC controls light up and blink slowly. Any suggestions on what to look at?

On another note!
I purchased a auto starter and have started to take apart the dash and I'm going to remove the radio and verify all the connections, could the factory radio be the problem? I have the 6 disc, I think it's called the monsoon package.

Default auto starter ??

like remote start? if so and you install it yourself, i predict that your experience with minor troubles will be magnified by a factor of about 8.6 times.
just gussin.

i would never start a new adventure till i had all other stuff fixed.
just sayin

From experience and a lot of reading on multiple forums, if anything electrical pops up, check the battery terminals first.

Okay after carefull concern, and for the issue stated above! I didn't install the remote starter, but I did remove the lower dash plates under the stearing wheel and magically the noise hasn't happened.

I did find 4 wires just hanging on the left side wall, above and I front of the E brake, I know they are not the trailer brake controller hook up that's to the right and the wires are clearly labeled.

Now like I stated the noise is gone, not sure what fixed it, may be removing the dash panels took tension off of a connector? I am going to remove the radio, and check those connectors!

The only thing that hasn't been around, that seemed like the noise had in common! Any thoughts on that?

Thanks for your help,

These wires that you found, they are to connect additional OEM lights. One goes to the lower grille off road/fog lights, the other is for either the roof mounted off road lights or roof markers.

I would have to say that your problem is within your battery terminal connectors...the OEM's are garbage. Just because they are tight doesn't mean that you are getting the best connection...if you actually removed a connector you would see that GM saved a lot of money by using them

I replaced mine because my AC would shut off for a split second when applying the brakes, most noticable at night. I haven't had an issue since I changed them out.
