Default 06 h3 smoking please help

Hey guys new to the h3 . Well everything was good for a couple days.
I drive it to work 30 miles and it sits for 8 hours.
I go to start it to leave and get a huge cloud of smoke wtf !!
I've done a bunch of research and found this year had many
Head problems. My truck has 120k on it and runs great . Didn't run
Funny or anything even when she was smoking . So what to look at first ?
I'm going to do all the work myself . Pulled the plugs they looked fine.
I cleaned the maf and tbody last week. I did add a 3" piece of
Pipe to remove the factory silencer intake that connects to the tbody.
Could that have anything to do with this issue?
The guy I bought it from never had this problem.
But the truck did sit for 5+months before I bought it
And started driving it. Not sure what steps to take next ?
Put new plugs put the factory intake back on and see if that was it
Or go buy a leak down tester and compression tester.
Or rip the head off and bring it to my machine shop to check it out .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you retain the PCV connection to the port at the back valve cover in you pipe?

Easy on jumping to conclusions about the head, paranoia solves nothing.

Forgot to ask, what oil are you running in your 3? Synthetic or Dino?

From what the original owner told me was he always used Dino oil.
And I just got this last week and it's only been on the road for less than a week.
But I am going to change the oil today. I did already drain the oil and it didn't look odd like antifreeze in it or anything like that. I know these early h3's had head problems but I bought it from the original owner and he said he never had any problems with it .

Please answer this question and include the miles on your truck. If you have not had the truck long enough to have done the oil change, you may want to consider changing the oil to conventional 5W-30 oil. 06 3.5L randomly smoking at start up.

Ok I will take a look at that post . The truck has 125 k on it and from what I was told he always used conventional And it was a little low before I drained it today.

Doc, I did read that post and I'm
Gonna try to change the oil and leave it at the dipstick mark he set his at .
Seems weird oil level would cause that?
Mine was actually low maybe that could cause it to?
