Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Looking for a Hummer H2 rear lower control arm bolt, GM Part # 11561844
Discontinued in Canada and USA> No dealers in either country with stock.
This is a common wear-out item, so replacements MUST be available somewhere?
Does anyone know the dimensions and grade of this bolt?
Or where I can find a replacement?
Or a lead on someone who may still have one in their parts box?
The OEM version looks weird from the photo I found on the internet. It is partially threaded on both ends.
Guessing the photo is correct, but it is from some Russian website, so who knows.
But the M14 you quoted part numbers for an 2003-2005. Those are available, but no use to me.
They beefed up the bolts in 2006-2007.
My 2007 has the one I pictured above at M16x2.0x120mm hex flange bolt, Grade 10.9, GM part # 11561844.
I can use anything at least 100 mm. Longer is ok, I can cut it down to what I need. If I can not find OEM, then I will have to order something from eBay. Ugh.
@hummerz Thanks for that info! Much appreciate it.
I need to verify the thread pitch on this #31078R1, and can not find that info anywhere. Do you know the pitch? I see you listed it as 2.0, but the link to Wheeler does not show that measurement on their website.
I looked all over the internet for the pitch on this part, and its equivalent part #W300237. No luck on the pitch. I want to make sure these are not 1.5 fine pitch or something else.
Also now found shorter 100mm part #31077R1 aka W300236, as these may work just fine also. Neither of which show pitch.
And M16 flange nut #31085R1 aka W301277A, which also shows no pitch.
Also, this is a "PHC" bolt. Any idea what that means? Guessing "black phosphate"?
Google is not helping with these 2 questions.
I did find some other brands also on eBay, but maybe not as good. Your part number started the hunt, so thanks for that lead.
The link I posted above is a google search that shows many sites that offer the bolt, some show the pitch and some don't.
Best to make a call to verify. Btw, Michigan truck spring also shows part #M5398 as a replacement for 31078R1 & W300327.
