Key fob programmig?
#2
Same answer to this question as every other time. Drive to dealership and pay for programming. If (IF) you can find a local locksmith, they might be able to assist. What has been happening with older I5s (you did not provide year, model or miles) is the BCM looses ability to communicate with the fobs so then you have to replace and program the BCM with the fobs just to use the old crappy azzed fobs.
Alternative. Dispose of crappy azzed OEM fobs and have a remote start alarm system installed with better fob range and the added feature.

I never had any luck trying to program factory key fobs. Dealer could not do it and several locks smith tried. I ended getting a after market key fob that has a much longer range. I could have a remote start with it. No need for one. Go read my post on this. Lots of stuff there. Then it gets off on other things. Lots of help here.

ACE is the place
For certain models you need help. Some ACE hardware stores have the tool. For about $90.oo they will provide the fob and program it. They will not program your fob. Certain locksmiths and portable smiths can also do it. Prices vary by area.
