Only 1 T20 head screw, pull it out, disconnect, clean connector/contacts reconnect to check, or swap with another door switch. 5 minute diagnosis.

I have it out and sprayed good. Connecter on wire was dirty, nice and clean now. I sprayed the button but still don't work. I took door one out put in back and light came on as it should. Now trying to take it apart. I look at the diagram on the post for the 6 parts. Trying to get it apart. Held together by the 6 little clips? Need a big blade screw driver? Is there another way?

I took the switch apart, little trick to it. Got one side up and the other was sort of easy. 1/4 inch blade screw driver did the job. Green corrosion on the small contacts. Scraped it off, lots of electrical spray and a scrape with a small nail file. Back on and it works like it should. Too early for happy hour, 2 JD's later. Thanks for the help.

Yesterday I removed the passenger side door panel and mirror. Today the new mirror arrived. Put the new one on and it works just find. Now the problem. I put inside panel back on. The cables for the door handle and unlock handle. They only go on one way, However something when I pressed the panel back something was binding. Took it off and things don't match as they should. Did it several times. Finally got inside plastic clips to go in as should. Closed the door and now I can't get it to open. Seems the door handle cable has slipped off and the unlock cable is holding the unlock lever to far out. Anyone ever have this happing? Door will not open no matter what I do. Window goes up and down as it should.

Did you make sure the cables were in their clips on the back of the door panel? Not just the cable end, but the cable sheathing clipped into the holder on the panel? If they aren't, you will need to disassemble the door from the inside to get access, at least that's what I had to do when I forgot to clip the cables in.

I think you hit the nail on the head. They were just hanging down on the inside. Now, how to I disassemble the door panel from the inside? Seems almost impossible.

I removed the inside panel from the inside not to difficult, Once I figured it out. NMH3 are you talking about the clips about 2" back from the cable ends? The yellow and green ones that snap in the little slots? Only thing in the door panel.

Cables in clips and panel on. All's good. Something of interest to note. When I had the door panel off. cables just hanging down. the door would open from outside handle. Closed door. my H3 is set to lock all doors when put in drive the doors lock . When stopped and put in park the drivers door unlocks.. Hit the unlock button on drivers door and all doors are open. Passenger side door unlocks. No cables are attached, just hanging down in door. Works great. open door with handle or set key fob lock or unlock. No need to connect cables at all. I new my H3 has ghost in it.
