Btw,
My wife's '20 GMC already required 3 oil changes, and changed@-5%-0%. That makes 4 with the original oil when purchased new. Now @ 64% with only 19,602 miles:

Monitor your oil or else((((((((((blow-by))))))))))))> cylinder pressure leaking past the piston rings into the crankcase. Commonly, it starts as cylinder glazing or carbon forming in the top ring grooves, both of which allow cylinder leak down, and some oil burning. Oil burning produces further ring deposits, and more blow-by.

Correct, I am old and old habits are hard to break. even harder having other old vehicles and motorcycles that are all based on millage or abuse.
I installed the catch can and it is doing better than I expected. appears to catch sludge with condensation moisture. now the motor oil strays cleaner longer can visibly see it and now switched to Synthetic. I'll play it by ear on how many miles I let it go till. But I really want to do the Valve job on it and see what I find and how it improves.
