Default Hose hanging near front stabilizer bar passenger side

Hi, I have a 2007 H3 with 3.7l

I hesitate to ask such a silly question but I've searched the manuals and can't find out what this is. I noticed a rubber hose with a plug (circled in photo) that has a mounting peg on the end dangling near the location where the oil filter is. It leads to a location above the secondary smog/air pump, but I can't easily trace it further.
Can anyone tell me what this is? And what hole does the mounting peg/clip fit into? The closest hole I saw is on the frame crossbar (see arrow in photo), it's a bit of a stretch but is this the right spot?

Thanks,
Steve

That looks like the breather line for your front differential.
It should be attached high up next to your radiator, passenger side. You will see the hole the clip pushes into on the core support.

Hi Tainter, that drawing looks exactly like the hose, I'll try to trace it. The diagrams I have show the vent setup differently.

update: that is it, someone routed it differently at some time!
Thanks!
