By far the best overall performance upgrade I bought was to sell my base H3 and replace it with a Championship edition.

Smooth tube from the throttle body to the closed OEM airbox (noise cancelling resonator removed) with outside air coming from the passenger side inner fender or a snorkel will get you the coolest and cleanest air.

Open box is just that, an open box that will suck in ALL of the hot dirty engine bay air. While it may "look cool" it is defiantly NOT cold air!
