Hi all.

Was driving this morning. Suddenly the AC just cut offand the temperature gauge just stay at the very bottom. And a warning AC OFF light appear on the display panel.

Does any one here have a solution to this problem.
I suspect it could be the BCM. Not sure abt this.

The "AC OFF" message is one overheat protection layer of the H3. When the PCM does not know what the temp is, AC will be shut off by default.

You may have a bad temp sensor, bad Thermostat, bad temp gauge, low on coolant, or a combination thereof.

Check your coolant level.

Get a scanner to read what the temp sensor is actually sending. If it is way too low, that is cheap and easy to replace. I would start there.

 

Hey Doc... I know this is old thread stuff, but I have a 2008 H3 Alpha and have had this issue for years. I pull the fuse to clear and sometimes it lasts for months, and sometimes it lasts for days. Have we gotten any closer to a no BS fix?
