could be bad connections on the module.
and as for the tech 2 yes for 220$ plus shipping you can program and interact with every part of your truck directly from the tech 2. for programming you need the supplied TIS2000 software
I and others here on the forum have purchased from that very same company in china. it took a few weeks on delivery but it was worth the wait. at least for me.
only thing is you need an old computer running XP that also has a serial port to install the TIS2000 software that has the module programming software. I used an old dell laptop I had laying around it is a latitude D620 as it has a serial port. they do sell usb to serial adapters but they can be hit or miss.
some have used windows 7 but it might require a feature called "XP Mode" where it runs in a virtual environment.

So that would cause the crunching sensation in the brake as well as triggering ABS failed, etc.?

Everything I have is Mac based. Think it would work with virtual environment on a Mac?

What's wrong with your scanner?
You've been throwing parts at it for 6months yet never replaced the LR WSS?

My wheeling buddy had to replace the entire EBCM unit on his 2009 H3t Alpha Offroad. The rear passenger brake would keep randomly locking up while driving. Dealership threw everything including the kitchen sink at it.
Finally they replaced the most expensive part (EBCM) and guess what? No more locking up of the rear passenger brake. He is all over bookFace, has given up on internet forums.
Just because it's not "on the internet" does not mean it's not an issue.

Oh, and here are a few ECBM issues FROM the internet:

Appreciate any help you have given in the past.

Do not appreciate you throwing crap at me.
