Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Selling a 'kit' of sorts I assembled to replace the cylinder head in my 2006 Hummer H3 with the 3.5l L52 (I5) engine. I had high leakdown rates due to leaking valves and was going to replace the head. I assembled the parts and tools in early 2021 but was rear ended in June 2021 and the truck was totaled before I got a chance to install. Cleaning out my garage and trying to get these parts into a good and loving home.
Asking $950 for everything, prices I paid are in parentheses (total of ~$1150 IIRC)

To the best of my knowledge the only thing you’ll still need is a torque angle meter/gauge. GM used torque to yield head bolts, so if you want to do the job right you can’t use a standard torque wrench. You may also want to pre-purchase a head bolt extractor set in case you wring off a bolt when removing the old head... Not going to lie this doesn't seem to be an easy repair but it can be done. I think (but can’t guarantee- I’m not a mechanic) this will fit the L52 3.5l engine as found in Colorado, Canyon, and H3 from 2004 to 2006. It’s up to you to determine if it will work in your application. This appears to have the 2 cam sensors.
I got them from Freedom Racing, I just checked and I think they must be their "stallion" brand. I guess they market these as an 'alternate' to the "OEM" brand that is more expensive. My apologies, I'm not a professional mechanic. I paid $230 for them, current cost appears to be $243. I'll take 15% off as a "restocking fee" of sorts, so with that I'll take $195. UPS Ground estimate to your ZIP is $15 so $210 total.
