Default Foggy Headlight Syndrome

Kept getting condensation in the drivers side
headlight assembly, so against all recommendations I peeled off the cover and let the 1/2 inch of water out. Let it all dry out, cleaned the edges and ran a bead of silicone around the seal. We’ll see what happens, new headlight assemblies are pretty cheap but this was more fun.

Yes, it is a bummer that they get foggy. My oem set did the same. I did that dry em out and seal with silicone too. No Bueno. End up buying aftermarket ones. They are now getting foggy.

Drill a 1/8" hole in the bottom of the outer headlight assembly (not the reflector). Permanent fix. Did that to mine years ago, no condensation because it vents and drains.

Doc-Can you post a picture of the actual location of 'the hole' on your H3 headlight.

No way could I get a worthwhile pick of my actual Headlights, up from the bottom behind the Headlight with poor lighting and stuff in the way... but just drill a hole in either or both of the red circled areas at the bottom NOT through the reflector.
