NOT the pump when you have 30psi at 900rpms! At operating temperature, normal oil pressure at idle is 10-15psi.
What type/weight oil inside the engine?

So once it warmed it it hovered around 12 psi but 800-900 RPMs I throttled it some it reached 2000 RPMs and that’s when the knocking kicked in..

removed the valve cover, a bunch of sludge build up on the cover but there is some milky color on the timing chain components and the actual valve cover.
