Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I recommend you look in the owners manual under "fluid capacities" for any and all fluids.
It will tell you the Type and Amount of fluid used.
If you don't have one download a FREE manual for your HUMMER online directly form GM.

Hello everyone I checked my engine bay and saw my coolant reservoir level very low. I was thinking of running to autozone and purchase some coolant and I wanted to know which one I should suggest purchasing.
If you live in a state that doesn't see freezing temperatures, go for Redline Water Wetter and distilled water. Cools better, and is cheap. If not, then you will deff need the anti-freeze in the DEX-COOL.

FOUL BALL. Water Wetter is NOT all it is "cracked" up to be. Should not be used as a substitute for glycol in regular thermostat controlled automobiles as it does NOT reduce corrosion, had zero antibacterial content, can and does cause plastic (like in plastic radiator tanks and reservoirs) to crack after long term use, and transfers heat from the motor to the cooling system. How many people think H3 Hummers have robust cooling systems? ... Raise your hands. I see none.
Your T Stat controls the temp, not the coolant like in a race care. You need good long term corrosion and bacterial (mold) resistance in a street driver. In drag cars it can lower temps 5-10F, that ain't chit in a street driver. Not needed, not worth it IMHO.
You guys want to debate that, start a new thread. Even Redline says it will not lower temps if added to a 50/50 coolant/water mix. The rest of what Redline says is marketing BS.
Ok so I been running the car to check the tank. I just got home and took this picture. I also notice like a smell of maybe rubber or something else not sure. I notice my temp level is half way maybe a bit over.
