Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
When will I receive the low fuel indicator? I’ve been riding close to E twice now, just to see how long it’ll take the indicator to come on and it has yet to do so. Anybody test this out yet? Like come on how much lower do I need to be?
Come on when your needle is in the red, which your pic shows it is not.
Do yourself a favor and do a little online research on why you should not run your gas tank to that low of a level unless absolutely necessary. You should hit the fuel station when about at a 1/4.

Like I said I was only running it that low to see how long it would take for the indicator to turn on. Never had a vehicle give low gas warning when it’s IN the red

Most people, stop for fuel before the needle hits the E aka EMPTY. The gauge is idiot proof, you can still run that gauge from the red zone down to the E, until you get a warning, and still have plenty fuel reserved, for you to take action to correct the situation.

I fill my H3 EVERY time, and I run it till the "low fuel" warning comes on EVERY time. I also use a OBD2 Bluetooth adapter with the Torque app. The "low fuel" warning comes on as soon as I'm down to 3 gallons left in the tank, consistently; that's enough left for 45 miles, although I always get gas when the warning comes on.
