DIY R&R parking brake cable
A while back on an early morning I pulled the handle of my parking brake to release it. To my surprise the handle snapped and ended up detached and sad. After several months of yanking on the plastic end of the cable and developing a super strong index-to-thumb-finger gripping strength (not really) I decided to replace it. Ordered the part, received it in the mail, stored the cable for another month or so until today. The whole process was really easy, so much that I feel silly making a DIY for it but maybe it'll help someone. Ok let's get to it...
First make sure you get the correct part

Here's a close up of the part number

Next grab a pair of pliers, almost any type will do

Then simply rotate clockwise to align the cable tabs with the opening

After this simply push the cable through and pull it out the back of the dash and follow it to where it connects to the foot brake lever assembly
Now remove the the cable from the locking bracket (orange'ish circle), give it a lateral pulling motion, next rotate the cable in a forward manner to align it with the notch (small purple circle) and remove it

Now grab your new cable and repeat the steps in reverse order. To attach the handle simply align it with the cable and push against it to secure it.

Give it a pull and confirm that it works like a dream, lastly, look at your index and thumb fingers and say "you're welcome ". Talking
