yes I have viper too but when I use viper to unlock and then open the door the factory alarm goes off and that happen sometimes not all the time, what you think the problem might be?

My installer used some kind of Passlock Interface....I don't know if that might have something to do with it or not. My Passlock is still fully functional, it just allows the Viper system to work with the H3. As I said, I had this installed almost 13 years ago so I don't know what brand the interface is, if it's still available or if that's even why it works properly with the factory alarm.

I had a remote start/alarm installed on mine 12-13 years ago that had to use a Passlock interface/bypass that I recall the install tech telling me that the H3 was one of the more difficult vehicles to put one on. The first time I had an issue with the security lockout was either the day it was installed or the day after. I of course thought it was because of the remote start, but learned it was not. I remember him saying that there was a resistor or something that had to be put in somewhere, and that the security light would stay lit if I started it with the remote.

my security light don’t stay I think it just randomly I use my viper remote to unlock the car sometimes it unlock abs open no problem sometimes it’s unlock abs as soon as I open any door the factory alarm goes off . The remote start and everything else works perfectly
