OUCH! That's a predicament I have witnessed but never suffered personally. $600 seems kinda expensive to replace two rubber boots...but, technically, they are a wear item, being rubber. It's about time a lot of these wear items begin failing...these vehicles are getting older! Best of luck to you and please post the outcome for us!

Automobile manufacturers have certain specifications their vendors must meet to call it an OEM part. Yes, some manufacturers will use the exact same part they produce for an OEM but that is so Very Rare.
In most cases the vendors will use the design specs and ignore the materials the OEM has specified in order to "save a buck/make a buck" on their aftermarket (non-OEM) parts. It is simple business.
I was with GM SPO/CCA (Service Parts Operations/Customer Care Aftersales) for many years and the difference in quality OEM vs Aftermarket is very evident.

Ever toured an AUTO PARTS MANUFACTURING PLANT?
Same part goes to many distributors, including your local part stores, Only difference is the label on the box!

Hello all, it' been a while but, got real truble with my front end. After my last offroad trip, noticed that the front left CV Axle shaft was leaking grase.... so changed it with the one i have spare from TrakMotive......drove a bit and wow, horrible vibrations but only when i drive and turn like more than 50% , not when i drive straight ! So , thought the right side CV was gone to and..... changed it too with the same CV Axle , it was my last spare one...Drove and the same vibrations/clunk appeared , only in turning moments , like something slips or so...????

Checked the front bearings for play , drive shafts , bushings....nothing wrong... So, It didn't vibrate bevor i changed the first CV axle shaft so.....
Here the CV's i had for spare. HELP guys.Thx.

And now just ordered 2 from RockAuto ACDelcos...... praying that the CV's are the reason for those bad vibrations

Did you install new axle nuts torqued to 260 N.m 191 lb ft?

@H3Luxembourg It would be better to start a new thread instead of hijacking this one, to better help you and the OP of this thread.

you can remove the front axle and drive without blocking the transfer case
